A good workout does not need to consume the day. This 35-minute session uses a small number of movement patterns to train the whole body while leaving enough room for recovery.

After a brief warm-up, perform three sets of 8 to 12 goblet squats paired with three sets of 8 to 12 push-ups or dumbbell presses. Then perform three sets of 8 to 12 Romanian deadlifts paired with three sets of 8 to 12 one-arm rows per side.

Finish the strength work with three farmer carries of roughly 30 to 45 seconds. If time and fitness allow, add 8 to 12 minutes of easy-to-moderate cardiovascular work.

Choose loads you can control and generally keep one to three good repetitions in reserve. Technique and repeatability matter more than turning every session into a test.

Stop exercise and seek appropriate medical attention for chest pain, fainting, or unusual severe shortness of breath. If you are new to exercise or have significant health concerns, ask a qualified professional about an appropriate starting point.
